I’m glad you are here at the start of an eventful few months! We will continue to reach Leavenworth County for Jesus. And He does that through His people! Today we are blessed by three baptisms in the second service. 

Serving Him is an eternal privilege! It is a joy to be His hands and feet. We live to bless, and with an open hand. And it thrills me to know that even a cup of cold water will not lose its reward!

Every believer is blessed by serving. The start of fall programs is your opportunity! Today’s bulletin includes information about opportunities to serve in AWANA. Our Kids’ Ministry Director Jennifer Belcher is asking for 10 people for the Sunday morning childcare rotation. We are blessed with many kids. We want to be good stewards of God’s blessings!

We never want to grow stagnant. We follow the Spirit’s leadership to glorify God and bless man. We are working on ways to get in the community this fall to connect with people in Jesus’ Name!

We are also creating more discipleship paths. Next Sunday, Bill Keithley will teach Wayne Grudem’s “Systematic Theology” class during the 9 a.m. hour. All you have to do is show up. It will be in the Hospitality Room (Room 201), the classroom off the foyer. Pastor Kirk will restart his “First Steps” new believers’ class on Aug. 16. They meet in the lower level, Room 103.

Looking ahead, instead of a traditional Thanksgiving dinner this fall, we are going to have a chili cookoff. It will be a fun competition and a great environment to bring family and friends!
