God bless you on this wonderful morning of worship! Today we open God’s Word to the Song of Solomon. We’ll see what God’s Word says about insecurity. Insecurity hinders the marital relationship. It also hinders other relationships. So, let’s learn how to defeat it this morning through God’s holy Word.
By now, you should have received a letter asking you to be here on Feb. 12. (If you haven’t, you will.) We start a sermon series that day entitled “Four Pillars of Positive Change.” This comes out of a “brainstorming session” we held as a staff last month. We want to make whatever changes necessary to fulfill our mission statement: to see people saved, lives changed, and Jesus glorified. We want to do great things for His glory! So, I hope you will be here as we embark on the next leg of our journey together as a church!
Feb. 16 is our Job Fair. In your bulletin is a flyer that lists the employers. Keith and Laurie Hable are doing an outstanding job of leading this. Now our task is to get the word out. Talk to friends, take flyers around, and use social media. The fair is for the unemployed, the underemployed, and anyone looking to make a change. There is a link in the flyer for job seekers to sign up. They can also come the day of the event but signing up would help us be well organized. This will be an exciting day and a tangible way to love our neighbors!
Also in your bulletin is a link to sign up to serve the Tonganoxie Parent-Teacher Council at the Elementary School on Feb. 25. This is an important event for us. We serve others. We visibly demonstrate the love of Jesus to our community. And we increase our visibility in this world. Please take time to sign up today! If you have trouble with the link, contact Christina in our office.
I want to share a personal note with you – Tara and I have never been happier, and more satisfied in the ministry than we are right now. You are our church family. We love you. You are a wonderful church full of people who love Jesus. It is a privilege to serve you. God bless you today!
