Lord bless you today as we gather to worship our Lord and King! Today we open God’s Word to John 13. The Lord Jesus Christ performed the menial task of washing His disciples’ feet. In so doing, we learn that a Christian is to bless and serve. We will also cover a few things that we as a staff want to accomplish in 2024. God has given us a “wide open door for effective service” in Mexico next year! I think you will be amazed, saddened, yet energized by what we will show you today. I am very glad you are here.
Please block off the evening of Nov. 3, midday of Nov. 4, and Sunday, Nov. 5. Monte Shinkle and David Bronson will be here to preach and bring music in what we are calling “Revive Weekend.” We are asking you to be at all the services to experience spiritual renewal in your own life! Please sign up at our website or use a clipboard in the foyer. Here is the schedule:
Friday, Nov. 3
*David will lead the music. Monte will preach.
Saturday, Nov. 4
*David will preach at 11 a.m.
*Chick-Fil-A lunch in the Train Station
*12:30 David will lead music, and Monte will preach.
Sunday, Nov. 5
*No Adult Bible Fellowship. David will preach at 8:45.
*Fellowship time until 10
*Monte will preach at 10 with an evangelistic emphasis. Bring your lost family and friends!
Make this spiritual time a priority in your life! There will be an eternal blessing!
There is no childcare except for Sunday morning. The reason for that is twofold:
- We would only have the same small pool of Sunday morning volunteers to draw from.
- We want everyone to be able to participate.
We know that will require some of you to get a babysitter. However, it will be worth the investment! And of course, we encourage you to bring your kids to sit in the service. If they become loud, you can take them into the room off the foyer.
A personal note: Tara and I always kept our kids in worship, even when they were little. We made contests for those who could remember some things the preacher said. We gave them rewards. I could elaborate so if you are interested, Tara could tell you several more things we did. We wanted them to learn how to worship early.
