Welcome to West Haven on this Lord’s Day. It’s a great day to worship the Lord. Corporate worship is designed to strengthen our bonds as a community of faith. Romans 12:15 reminds us to “Rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep.” Thank you for being here.
This morning, we open our Bibles to an amazing story of God’s faithfulness to His people. In Esther chapter 4, we step into a world that was hostile towards God and His people. It’s a world much like our own! However, these trials serve a greater purpose. We are positioned precisely where we are meant to be. God’s hand has guided our lives, preparing us for the challenges we face now and those that lie ahead. As we embrace faith over fear, we recognize that God selects ordinary individuals, like us, to share His message of salvation and call others to repent and believe.
Also, during the worship service, we are excited to announce the location and date of our 2024 mission trip. Next week, Mike will provide more details about this upcoming mission, and we plan to hold an informational meeting before the end of the year. I’m very excited about this opportunity!
Following today’s service, we invite any children’s ministry volunteer to join us for our Children’s Ministry Appreciation Lunch! The meal will take place in the Train Station. If you are a children’s ministry volunteer, we would love for you to be part of this celebration. During the lunch, we will unveil our new kid’s ministry logo and provide some fun “swag” for all of you.
I want to take a moment to express my deep love for this church. There are so many incredible things happening here, and I feel blessed to pastor such a faithful people. We are grateful for the Lord’s continued kindness. Once again, thank you for choosing to be here today; your presence enriches our time together!
May the grace and peace of our Lord be with you all.
