God’s Word in Habakkuk is timely for our current situation. His nation was in upheaval. His heart was vexed. And unlike us, he knew of the judgment God pronounced upon his nation. How do we respond under that kind of pressure? God said, ”The righteous shall live by faith.” And that’s the answer for us today.

As I write this, the Presidency is still undecided. While we’ve all had different thoughts about this, ultimately the Bible must guide our belief and behavior. Therefore, we remember these truths:

1. Daniel 2:21: He deposes kings and raises up others

2. 2 Timothy 2:1-2: I urge that entreaties and prayers, petitions and thanksgivings, be made on behalf of all men, for kings and all who are in authority, so that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and dignity.

3. Romans 13:1: There is no authority except from God, and those which exist are established by God.

4. Psalm 47:8: God reigns over the nations, God sits on His holy throne.

Our Community Outreach Team needs some help. We have some very good ideas. We need a person or two with some leadership/organizational skills with the time to organize and direct projects. If that might be something that would fit you, please let me know. We would love to take some next steps in that area.
