It’s good to see you on this Sunday after Thanksgiving! As we continue in the series “Jesus’ Parables: Wisdom For Life,” Nathan will preach the parable of the “Rich Fool” from Luke 12. John Wesley famously said, “Make all you can, save all you can, give all you can.” You’ll see this morning that the “rich fool” did not understand that important truth. More importantly, he did not understand his need to be “rich” toward God. Thanks for being here!
On behalf of the West Haven staff (Nathan, Kirk, Jennifer, Christina, Alexa, and Afton) Tara and I want to express our gratitude to you for your faithfulness to Jesus, and to the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20). You are a great church. We are slowly but steadily growing. As a result, we added a few more chairs in the worship center. Keep praying, preaching, and loving people. Invite them to church to sit under the preaching of God’s Word. Trust in the power of God, the work of the Holy Spirit, and the sufficiency of Scripture to bring people to Jesus.
We are excited to host the Leavenworth County Meals on Wheels for southern Leavenworth County beginning Dec. 4. They will assemble the food here. (It is not cooked here, only brought here to be assembled.) There will be some people who will stay here to eat every day, probably 8-10 people, and more on other occasions. We are allowing them to use the building at no cost to help them as they minister to seniors. This is another way we are loving our neighbors and making Leavenworth County a better place to live! We do it in the name of Jesus! Thanks for your heart for people!
