I commend Ephesians 6:18 to you today. It says,
Pray at all times in the Spirit with every prayer and request, and stay alert in this with all perseverance and intercession for all the saints.
Great fruit can be borne for the kingdom by humbly praying for wisdom, knowledge, and understanding for each of us. We want to be men and women of God who “understand the times” and know how to lead our families, love the Lord God, and love our neighbor as ourselves.
USD 464 is going remote on Nov. 30. At this point, we plan on continuing with AWANA and Student Ministry through the end of the year. Please pray for wisdom, understanding, humility, and unity within our church, and the other churches in town. The evil one is trying to divide believers over masks, lockdowns, and epidemiology. May this never be.
Pastor Nathan has created a new website for us. If someone considers visiting a church, the first step taken is to go to the website. The second step is to view a sermon stream. Therefore, we are doing all that we can to improve both. If you have feedback on either, especially regarding the written copy on the website, please let us know. The website is primarily aimed at people outside the church, although we retained the features useful for church members, i.e. bulletins, calendar, sermons, etc.
Compassion International will be here on Jan. 9. We’ll be working with a still-to-be-determined church in Nicaragua. We’ll have the opportunity to sponsor several children. By our giving and praying, impoverished children will be fed, clothed, cared for, and given the gospel. This is a blessed opportunity to serve our Lord. All ages can participate.
