I’m glad to see you on this Lord’s Day as we continue through the book of James. Under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, He tells us that trials can complete and mature our faith. But a trial that can be used for perseverance unto maturity can also become a temptation for sin that leads to death. James will show us how to navigate that minefield this morning. I’m glad you are here.
I have very good news this morning. The gospel is certainly “good news” but I have good news in addition to that. Our building loan is paid in full! It was paid on April 29.
This is another big win for West Haven! All glory goes to God! He graciously provided the means for the building. He worked in your heart through gracious and generous giving. And after 13 years, we are debt-free! Please pray for us as we make plans to take West Haven into the future. It is still our desire to see people saved, lives changed, and Jesus glorified. And by God’s grace, that will happen in great measure in the days to come.
Sunday, June 13 will be a Celebration Service. Chris Cakes will serve lunch afterward. I hope you and your family will be here. Bring a friend with you. It will be a day of hope and gladness!
Today you’ll find our annual Kansans For Life “Baby Bottles” project in the foyer. Details are elsewhere in your bulletin. The proceeds support the pro-life educational efforts of KFL. The abortion rate in Kansas, and nationwide, has been cut in half since its high point. Pro-life education saves lives!
Tara and I have been blessed to serve West Haven for 15 years. We are so grateful for you! It’s a tremendous joy to see how many of you have stayed faithful, grown spiritually, and glorified God with your lives. Thanks for loving and following Jesus!
