It’s a great day to be in God’s house! We’ll open God’s inerrant Word to James 1:17-20. We will see that God is good, even when we endure a trial. God is for His people, not against them. And at all times, especially in dark times, we need to see Him and His goodness to us. I trust God will bless you as you seek to follow Him this morning.

We rejoice in another baptism this morning. Baptism is an outward symbol of the inward reality, that Christ lives inside the heart of a believer. We trust that today’s baptism will be another in many more to come. We want to make disciples right here in Leavenworth County for the glory of God.

We also recognize our graduates this morning. Pastor Nathan and those who serve our students have done wonderful work these past few months. They have poured themselves into these students lives, despite the challenges of COVID. Let’s pray for our graduates as God launches them into this world to be leaders and disciple-makers. I pray that each of these graduates would follow Jesus wholeheartedly every day of their life, and that they would not turn aside to the right or the left. I pray they would keep their hand to the plow and not look back. May each be used by Jesus for His glory.

Please mark Sept. 18 on your calendars. The Tonganoxie Business Association and the City of Tonganoxie are combining Tonganoxie Days and the Sunflower Stroll into one event. We are going to hold our Community Carnival (previously known as the AWANA Carnival) downtown during that event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. More details will follow but please reserve the date. This is a wonderful opportunity to bless our community and magnify Jesus!
