I’m glad you are here as we open God’s Word this morning to the third sermon in our series “From The Cross To The Crown.” We are following a few moments in Jesus’ journey to the cross, the grave, and then to His glorious resurrection! The first sermon was “Betrayed” when Judas gave Jesus into the hands of the chief priests. Last week was “Denied” when Peter insisted, he did not know Him. Today the sermon title is “Condemned.” This is when Pontius Pilate gave Jesus over to be crucified. Let’s humble ourselves under the mighty hand of God as we worship Him this morning!
Today we will also hear the final numbers in our AWANA “Verse-a-Thon” project. In your bulletin this morning is a reprint of why we held the Verse-a-Thon. Be sure to check it out if you have not seen it. This is nothing less than a mighty movement of God! I can’t remember the last time I’ve seen such a “wide door for effective service.” We rejoice in what God is doing! Plus, our children were able to participate in this. And they were energized as they hide God’s Word in their hearts. Thanks to everyone involved in this project!
Please check your bulletin for our Easter morning schedule. Also, this year, we are holding a Good Friday service. Pastor Nathan will lead us in a “Darkening Service” as he described in last week’s bulletin. We hope you can be here on Good Friday and Easter Sunday.
After church today is a Vacation Bible School meeting in the Train Station (the south side of the building). Jennifer Belcher will lead it. If you are willing to help in any way, please attend!
In the next few weeks, you will notice some drainage work being done in front of the church. This is to alleviate some of the water problems that exist in the fellowship hall.
God is doing great things among us. I’ve heard several testimonies in the last two weeks of God’s blessing, conviction, and encouragement. I was so blessed by our prayer meeting last Sunday night, I encourage you to put next month’s prayer meeting on your calendar! God bless you!
