Good morning! I’m really glad to be with you this morning! As most of you know, I tested positive for COVID on Jan. 20. So did Tara. She has done well with her symptoms. I’ve not done so well. The primary problem is weakness. I received monoclonal antibodies at Truman Medical Center on Monday. That has helped some. But I think my recovery is going to take some time. I am thankful for your patience with me, and you are always patient.
Out of an abundance of caution for your sake, I am going to keep my distance from you today. We’ll have our Member’s Meeting just a few minutes after church in the worship center. After that, I’ll head straight to a meeting so I won’t be able to connect with you afterward but feel free to call me or text me, as always.
Here are the answers to a few questions I’ve received:
Q. Will you start the “How To Read And Understand Your Bible” class this Wednesday night?
A. Yes. It starts at 6:20
Q. Will you still be preaching at “Band of Believers” on Saturday?
A. Yes.
Q. Do you plan on changing your Sunday morning preaching schedule?
A. No. I should be fine to preach and teach as usual.
Q. Will you slow down some?
A. Yes! 😊 But I still have work to do. But you might not find texts and calls returned as quickly as in the past. And I will rest when I need to. I promise! And that also means I may have to say “no” to a few things, based on how full my schedule is. I know you understand that but I want each of you to know that I love you and want to minister to you well.
Thanks to Nathan for preaching on short notice last week. And thanks to Gordon Brest this morning as we continue the segment in our services called “Good News.” The “good news” is that Jesus changes lives. So we want you to hear testimonies of God’s power from brothers and sisters at West Haven. We hope it will be a blessed reminder of the transforming power of Jesus our Lord.
Be sure to sign up to serve at the PTC Carnival on Feb. 26! Just go to the home page of our website. Tara and I signed up this week!
