Sunday, February 7th is the last day to sponsor a child with Compassion International. I am grateful that so many of you have sponsored a child or are praying about it. I know that for most people, you have to cut something from your budget in order to do so. Thanks for your care and concern for the “least of these.”

We took several of the children’s packets down and included them in a link. We are using that link to invite the general public to join us in this effort to sponsor all 150 children. They can use the link to sponsor a child online. I encourage you to share it with anyone and everyone. Link: http://compassion.com/westhaven

We are revamping our Sunday morning children’s nursery leadership. In the past, we’ve had one nursery coordinator. We have now created a Nursery Leadership Team. The team is Amy Inlow, Cindi Benson, Jessie Schultz, and Vickie Ewoldsen. I am very grateful for their leadership and their willingness.

I encourage everyone to serve, if you are able. You can be one of the first people outside of a child’s family to show them God’s grace, to teach them who God is, and what He is like. You also free up parents to learn the Word of God. It’s also important to note that we also encourage parents to have their children in the worship service. We know every family/situation is different so the choice is up to you.

I am grateful for the faithful members of this body of believers. Always remember that we will reap a reward if we do not give up!

Prepare To Sing

Gathering together on Sunday mornings is a congregational and corporate act of the church. So that you can fully participate in our worship gathering this Sunday, we’re providing the songs that we’ll be singing together. We encourage you to listen to all of these songs, but especially those songs which may be new to you. Further, we pray that these songs allow you to memorize, meditate, and reflect on biblical doctrine throughout the week.

Come Thou Fount Of Every Blessing
All I Have Is Christ
Hail The Day That Christ Arose
Christ Our Hope In Life And Death
His Mercy Is More
