Good morning! I pray that your faith, hope, and love would increase as we gather to worship Jesus. If you are visiting, thanks for being here! I would love to meet you afterward.

Today we introduce you to a unique ministry that we pray bears much fruit. The Bible tells us to care for the poor. However, doing that is easier said than done. For example, paying someone’s electricity bill is a good thing but it’s usually only a stop-gap measure. It doesn’t solve the problem. We want to present a solution by hosting a Job Fair on Thursday, Feb. 16th. We are going through a company called “Better  Together.” The genesis of that group was to keep children out of foster care. Statistics show a correlation between income and children in foster care. That’s how “Better Together” started, and it’s grown from there.

The goal is to help the unemployed be employed. Yet it is also intended to help the underemployed reach their potential. Sometimes it takes someone to come alongside and point people in the right direction. I am praying we can bless many people through this.

Keith and Laurie Hable will lead this. We will need help in preparation, and the day of the event. If you would like to help in some way, please contact them. Since this is our first time, we are learning on the fly. We will give you more answers as we get closer to the date. You’ll see a 4 ½ minute video this morning to give you a better idea of what this looks like.

Today we also introduce you to our Vision 3:16 fund. This is to help defer the costs of those going on the Vision 3:16 trip to Mexico this summer. If you can’t go, you can help others go! I hope you are praying about the trip. The preferred number of people to go is 15. The maximum number is 20. More than 20 and there is not enough work for people to do.

Today is also our vote on the 2023 Budget. If you are a member of West Haven, use the ballot in the    bulletin. You can vote by putting the card in the marked box out in the foyer. Please take time to vote.  Our bylaws require that we vote on our budget.

Thanks for being faithful to God’s church and God’s Son! I love you!
