Merry Christmas to you! We celebrate this time of the year because of the birth of our Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ. John 1:14 puts it this way: “The Word became flesh.” 1 Tim 3:16 puts it this way: “He was manifested in the flesh.” An angel in Luke 2:12 put it this way: “This will be a sign for you: you will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.” I am so grateful to know that by grace through faith, we can know we have eternal life. No matter what happens in this life, for a believer the best is yet to come.
We have a special guest singing this morning. For the record, I requested this special guest, not Pastor Nathan. (That will make sense when you learn who the special guest is! 😊 ) You will be very blessed today!
More good news: God was greatly glorified by your generous giving last week. I gave you a last second request to help some families in the area. All the needs were met! You paid rent, other bills, bought gifts, and clothing. We also learned there was no food in one house so a couple of West Haven families took care of that. And those whose bills were paid expressed much gratitude.
This is all due to the generous spirit Christ puts in your hearts. Thank you so much for responding to the prompting of the Lord. It thrills me to see the Lord using you to meet genuine needs! Thank you to each of you who helped.
I also want to thank every single person who serves in AWANA and Student Ministry. It’s been a highly unusual semester. You’ve honored the Lord. Your service in His Name will reap a harvest in due season!
I hope you can join us for our Christmas Eve service at 5:30. If not, you can stream it wherever you are by going to our website at westhaven.church. You can also stream it off Facebook or YouTube.
To all of you who sent us Christmas cards, thank you. God bless each of you. I pray for a wonderful Christmas for all of you!
