These are good days of ministry at West Haven. Vision 3:16 is still overflowing with gratitude for all God did in Mexico. We’ve heard stories of God saving unlikely people and changing lives. There is hope for every person in Jesus Christ. You will want to be here the evening of Sept. 10 when the team shares their stories of what Jesus did in them and around them. More information on that is in this worship folder.
Wednesday night was a blessed time of ministry! As soon as I walked into the building, I sensed the usual, sweet spirit that characterizes West Haven. Between kids, students, and adult volunteers in AWANA and Student Ministry, there were 136 people involved, making an eternal difference. I had 20-25 in Adult Bible Study. We invite you to be part of what God is doing on Wednesday nights!
It’s time to pray for our Community Carnival on Sept. 16. The good that comes out of this work can’t be calculated. I hear about it throughout the year from people in town. And we have brought people into the fold as a result. This is an “all hands on deck” work. There is a short meeting in the Fellowship Hall after church if you are willing to help. And if you can’t make the meeting, you can still serve. We need physical labor (for setup, take down, etc.), manning games, greeting people, and other things. See Gordon Brest or Pastor Nathan for questions. And please pray for a fruitful day!
It’s also time to prepare for our “Revive Weekend” on Nov 3-5. Monte Shinkle will preach Nov. 3 at 6:30 with music led by David Bronson. On Nov. 4, David will preach. We’ll have a Chik-Fil-A lunch. Then Monte will preach with David leading the music. On Nov. 5, there will be no Sunday School. David will preach at 8:45, and Monte will preach at 10.
I’m asking you to arrange your schedule to be at all four services. The idea is to saturate yourself in the preaching of God’s Word. It will be a time of rapid spiritual advancement. And we pray God would bring revival to your soul. We are able to hold these events when we have a good attendance at all services. So I pray that you could clear your schedule now in order to be blessed!
By the way, if no one had told you lately that you are loved, God loves you. I, Pastor Nathan, Pastor Kirk, and Jennifer love you. We systematically pray through our church directory in staff meetings. I hope you sense the love of Jesus when you come to West Haven!
