I’m glad you are here today as we worship our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! We’ll start today with a baptism, which always makes it a special day!

I’m starting a series today entitled “Take Heart.” Through prayer, observation, and what you are saying to me, I feel compelled to deal with this subject. With all that is happening around us, we need to learn how to “Take Heart.” We are going to learn various ways to respond to our current day. We will tackle some difficult subjects. And I pray that through it all, God will calm our fears, renew our hope, deepen our faith, and strengthen our resolve. I covet your prayers for this series in the upcoming day.

Next Sunday we honor our graduates. That evening, Baccalaureate will be here. Dr. Bill Weatherford will preach. Nathan has been instrumental in putting this together. He is also now the President of “Rooted Regional Group.” That is a group of student pastors in the metro area who meet quarterly for education and edification. He also has been taking a few classes at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. His GPA is 3.95 on a 4-point scale (slacker!🤣)

The wonderful folks who make and distribute donuts will be making all the donuts for USD 464 for Teacher Appreciation Day on Tuesday. That is a tremendous amount of work, and I am grateful to everyone involved. We want to continue to love our community in the name of Jesus.

There are no Wednesday night Bible studies for the next several weeks. Vacation Bible School is June 12-16. And then the Joshua Project will be here on Wednesday nights beginning June 21. You can sign up for that through Planning Center. There will also be a way to sign up via paper if you are not able to sign up online.

 God bless you!
