Welcome to West Haven this morning! If you are a first-time guest or if you have been visiting, thanks so much for being here! We are delighted that you are here! We trust you will be blessed this morning
We will resume the series “Divine Providence” next week. Today I want to preach a sermon on a topic vital to every believer. In Ephesians 5, Paul tells us to the “filled with the Spirit.” The implications of that command are vast. The fruit of obeying that command is bountiful. The joy is great. I hope you will open your Bible and prayerfully follow along. It is great to see each of you today!
You’ll also notice an announcement in today’s bulletin about a way you can bless a Christian college in northeast Missouri. It’s called Hannibal LaGrange. It’s Tara’s alma mater. We are very familiar with HLG and its work. We lived 30 miles south of HLG for over 40 years. There are hundreds of Baptist churches in Missouri. Many are due to HLG’s biblical influence over the years. I want to see them continue to be strong in their work. If you believe the Lord moves you to give, the instructions are in the announcement. And please pray for HLG. Tara and I would appreciate it!
This is the last Wednesday of AWANA and Student Ministry for the school year. Thank you very much to each of you who so faithfully serve in those ministries. Only heaven will reveal the full fruit of your work!
Tomorrow night is the second training meeting for nursery workers and parents. Please be part of this. It is very important that everyone is trained in this area. It will take an hour. I am very grateful for your service and for attending the training. You are making more of a difference than you know!
